How exams follow your board
Different boards divide the year differently: some use unit tests and terms, some use formative and summative evaluations. In Cometstep you create the exams your board uses, set full marks for every subject once, and enter marks class by class. Totals, percentages, grades and ranks are worked out for you.
If a student is absent for an exam, enter AB. An absent student is not counted as zero in the full-year result.
Report cards that match
Choose a ready report card design or upload a photo or PDF of your current one. Cometstep recreates it as an editable template, so your parents still see the card they know. Report cards can carry the heading of CBSE, ICSE / ISC, the West Bengal boards (WBBSE and WBCHSE) or WBBME, or a plain heading for other boards.
What Cometstep does not do
Cometstep is your school's own record system. It does not file anything with a board and it does not replace a board's official portal. Board-specific grading presets beyond the ones above are planned, and until then you set the rules yourself, which takes a few minutes per exam.
